Students and Teachers
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is committed to providing students and teachers the tools to understand what happened on 9/11 and how the attacks continue to impact our lives.

School Programs
The Museum offers a diverse set of inquiry-based school programs designed to challenge students to think critically about a wide range of topics related to 9/11. All programs align with the Common Core Standards.

Lesson Plans
These inquiry-based activities explore the history of the World Trade Center, the events of 9/11, the role that first responders played, and the many ways the country has changed in a post-9/11 world.

Anniversary in the Schools Webinar
Offered every year on and around the 9/11 anniversary, this interactive program connects participants with Museum staff and guest speakers to learn about the attacks and the importance of commemoration.

Teacher Professional Development
Teacher workshops address the challenges of teaching difficult content and explore interdisciplinary connections to your curriculum through Museum tours, hands-on activities, and group discussion. The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is an approved CTLE sponsor.

Teen Ambassador Program
The Teen Ambassador program is a yearlong, stipend-based, afterschool experience for students entering grades 10 to 12. It offers a behind-the-scenes look into the 9/11 Memorial & Museum and the ongoing issues raised by 9/11.
