Professional Programs

For over a decade, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum has offered leadership and mission-based programming to tens of thousands of professionals working in the public and private sectors. Drawing upon the Museum’s historical archive and expertise, these tailored programs speak directly to the histories, identities, and missions of participating organizations. We work with a wide range of law enforcement, intelligence, military, and first responder agencies, in addition to companies in the private sector.

Our professional programs:  

  • Can be tailored to all staff within your organization, from new hires to executive teams 

  • Incorporate expert talks, first-person accounts, local history, unique films, and Museum tours 

  • Offer a wide range of speakers depending on your needs, including 9/11 first responders, survivors, and those in leadership roles on 9/11.  

  • Are informed by a decade of tailored programs for more than 70,000 national sector and first responder professionals.  

  • May be delivered at the Museum, in your office, or virtually 

New: Leading Through Crisis

Leading Through Crisis is a new professional training program that equips teams with the tools, context, and strategies to navigate the essence of every crisis: urgency and uncertainty. 

This program examines four key pillars of crisis leadership – emergency preparedness, effective communication, empathetic leadership, and empowering teams – through the lens of those who led teams during and after the 9/11 attacks, such as Michael R.
