Description
For James, it was like a nightmare awake. I am sure you see exactly how this image looked like on all the TV programs. It’s like the Tomb of the victims, the rescuers killed, the architectural heritage destroyed, a part of the New York hat buried.
In this confusion of debris and smoke, it reminds the fluorescent clothes of the NY firefighters that we could hardly see in the cloud of smoke and dust. James Arax has symbolized firefighters and emergency services on the canvas with piece of yellow fabric strips. Sometimes the pieces of yellow fabric overlap to create a cross and announce the death of a rescuer.
