After U.S. Navy SEALs raided Osama bin Laden’s Abbottabad compound in May 2011, only one of their names was immediately made public: Cairo, a Belgian Malinois and military working dog. As told in his new book, No Ordinary Dog: My Partner from the SEAL Teams to the Bin Laden Raid, Cairo’s handler Will Chesney shares his story of working alongside Cairo as a member of U.S. Navy SEAL Team Six, and the emotional bond that formed between them, both in the field and at home.
