New York Times Blog Tells Story of Museum Artifact
The story of a piece of paper – or more specifically, a Port Authority spreadsheet from the inside of a World Trade Center office on 9/11 – was the focus of a New York Times City Room blog post on Sept. 7.
Written by Stephanie Zessos, the post highlights the piece of paper’s journey. It started inside a Twin Towers office and was blown to a building’s roof in Tribeca, where the blogger’s partner John then kept it in his closet for years. Ultimately, the paper was donated to the 9/11 Memorial Museum, where its original owner and the individual who donated it met each other in person.
