More than 500K Have Participated in 9/11 Memorial Museum Tours
This week, the 9/11 Memorial Museum welcomed its 500,000th tour participant. This milestone was reached just three years after the Museum’s opening.
The tour program at the Museum has grown from just a single tour offering and a staff of eight interpretive guides leading ten tours a day, to 22 interpretive guides who give up to 30 programs a day during the peak season.
“As an interpretive guide working at the Museum, I am presented with an incredible opportunity to spend time with visitors from all over the world,” said Mallory Bordonaro. “It is rewarding to hear the personal stories of those who visit the Memorial and Museum while I help to bridge the gap between history and memory.”
The Museum now has three regular tour offerings: the "Understanding 9/11" Museum Tour, the Official 9/11 Memorial Tour and the “Uncommon Courage: First Responders on 9/11” Tour. The Museum also offers a Spanish Language Guided Tour on the last Wednesday of every month.
