Bullhorn Used At Ground Zero by Bush on Exhibit at 9/11 Memorial Museum
The bullhorn George W. Bush used to address rescue and recovery workers at ground zero in the days after September 11, 2001, will be on exhibit at the 9/11 Memorial Museum when it opens May 21.
The bullhorn was made famous when then President Bush visited ground zero three days after the attacks. He told a chanting, cheering crowd of rescue and recovery workers, "I can hear you. The rest of the world hears you. And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon."
"The nation sends its love and compassion to everybody who's here. Thank you for your hard work. Thank you for making the nation proud, and may God bless America," President Bush added, according to an AP report.
The bullhorn is on loan from the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in Dallas and will return by mid-July.
