After 9/11 security was never the same again. I remember when I traveled to Miami in May 2001 I saw how many were carrying things that today would be unthinkable to carry on board. At the airport, the controls were minimal and there was a festive and relaxed atmosphere. 😃

Then I came back in June of the following year and everything definitely changed. From checking all the luggage 👨🏻‍✈️🎒boarding the aircraft ✈️ and arriving at the North American airport 🇺🇸 it was quite a process. In fact, some police officers 👩🏾‍✈️🧑🏽‍✈️ asked me to accompany them to a room where they made me unfold an entire exhibition stand that I had to place it at a fair in a hotel north of the city. We lasted at least like two hours before we could leave that place. 🕑

When I was in the city, I felt the fear, the uneasiness of knowing that something else could happen at any moment. 😨😰 When taking elevators you felt the silent panic of the people, when taking the bus you bit uncertainty and restlessness was patent. And it was not for less, a few months ago the unthinkable had happened.😭

This video collects aspects of the construction of the WTC, its splendor, the attacks, the affected nationalities, its fall and the resurgence of the new One World and the new WTC complex as well as the memorial that was designed so that we never forget. Perhaps the soundtrack that was applied does not have much to do with the events, but it is the same one that was heard in the last moments while debris and people fell from the destroyed floors before the collapse. It's about #she She'sAlwaysAwoman from @Billyjoel.

    Resume

Born in Maracaibo, Venezuela and currently resides in the city of Bucaramanga, Colombia. At the age of 7, Favián began this search by participating in local art calls, managing to qualify with a proposal in the city of Caracas, with which he achieved his first collective exhibition of a creative proposal with the K from Kellogg's in 1980. Until In 1991, without previous artistic training, he entered the School of Plastic Arts to begin his training as a graphic designer, which led him to continue pursuing more advanced studies in this branch, until in 1995 he entered what was the first university-level graphic school. Design school in Venezuela. Among the courses he took throughout his studies is art, awakening in him an interest in graphic expression techniques and representation systems that broadened his artistic vision.

His studies as a graphic designer have led him to create a broad portfolio and experience in the development of branding applied to companies and institutions that still maintain his identity design today.

Today Favián focuses his gaze as a designer towards pure art and wishes to finish cultivating that initial passion in an academic and practical way, trying to expand the domain of his trade in a constant search to touch new themes and explore new ways of creating unconventional. that offer their public a natural interest in his artistic proposal.

His aegis is that the viewer feels part of the art and interacts with it. In the end, art exists because the human being exists.

Since 2010 Favián Ojeda has been developing a typographic work based on the Calligram. Compositions ranging from the decorative to the thematic. His training as a graphic designer has allowed him to approach the guidelines of this discipline to create digital art using innovative printing systems that give the pieces great visual richness. Each work speaks of typography in its behavior and adaptation to the artist's intention.

With more than 20 years of experience as a professional graphic designer and currently studying formal plastic arts studies at the Municipal School of Art in the city of Bucaramanga, Favián Ojeda gives his works a more conceptual value for intelligent and original creation. . His work has managed to achieve awards and recognition in exhibition spaces in Venezuela.

Today, his creative sense allows him to experiment with other resources and materials such as photography and his digital intervention, observing interesting shapes and compositions created by urban spaces or nature that allow him to see the most artistic side of him. His digital intervention allows endless proposals that help to reinterpret what the environment offers and that we often do not stop to see. That inspiration leads Favián to the analytical and creative exercise of generating proposals that escape from the everyday and real to jump into the field of the imaginary, of the impossible.

Another resource that Favián has been experimenting with is the screw that, installed on a wooden surface, close to each other at different depths, allows the creation of three-dimensional sculptural reliefs with mathematical precision shapes that are close to pop art, cubism and abstract art. Each screw head becomes a steel canvas that is painted with a fine brush to reveal with color, an image, a composition. This technique makes it possible to convert the industrial aspect of a screw into images of great beauty and with a high sensory sense that invites you to use touch to enter into a personal relationship with the piece and not simply contemplate it. It then becomes an inclusive and playful resource for those with limited vision; touching it brings a new interpretation of the work, making it closer and warmer to this community and allowing them to interact with art. It is an exciting and inventive process that allows you to discover multiple ways of approaching this art.
