The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is committed to providing relevant and engaging learning opportunities for students, teachers, families, and the general public.
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is dedicated to deepening the public's understanding of 9/11’s continuing impact in America and around the world through film screenings, moderated conversations, and performances.
Students and Teachers
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum offers programs for students and teachers interested in learning about and teaching 9/11 and its ongoing relevance. Offerings include on-site field trips, virtual field trips, teacher professional development workshops, our Anniversary Digital Learning Experience (formerly known as Anniversary in the Schools), first-person accounts from past Anniversary Digital Learning Experience programs, and dynamic online lessons tailored by theme and grade level.
Youth and Families
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum offers an age-appropriate Youth and Family tour that explores the events of 9/11 in key Museum spaces and includes an art activity that honors the victims of the attacks. Our collaborative online activities for children and their caregivers explore themes tied to 9/11 and today. Our guide to Talking to Children about Terrorism is a good starting point for discussions with young people about terrorist attacks in the United States and around the world.
